Solving Risk Staffing Challenges
New programs advancing with Rice University and Career Spring
As we have been discussing in past meetings, finding qualified risk staff is a major
challenge. For some, this is one of the most critical operational risks being faced today.
We want to take action to expand recruiting opportunities for members that are searching
for early-career risk staff. Today, want to continue to explore some new ideas. These
include forming a CCRO Advisory Board to guide this initiative’s interactions with various
educational &recruiting institutions.

New: Council for Risk Technology
An On-going Series of Discussions re Latest Tech for Risk
A leadership Team is beginning to develop for this initiative, and we want to encourage
more members to become active with this very intriguing group.
The group seeks to bring attention to the latest developments in risk tools, while taking a
pragmatic viewpoint. The deliverable will be a series of virtual meetings each to dive into
the weeds with a specific application of interest. The council members have an
opportunity to interact directly in Q&A with the specific solution provider that is hosting
each session.
Today, the leadership team is nominating technology applications of all types teckling
any of the many challenges that risk professionals face, for example consider:
Applications of AI in credit risk Unique ETRM approaches
Document digitalization New sources/types of data
Scenario modeling Agent-based modeling
