The CCRO is in the midst of a retail energy risk initiative which will deliver an industry first risk framework of real world and recommended practices that can be used to identify initial risk; and measure, mitigate and back-test risks across natural gas and power.
The myriad of retail risks for large and small entities serving C&I and mass market including credit, capital adequacy, market and volumetric risk, will all be addressed in the following areas:
- The retail process and risk creation
- Managing uncertainty through hedging and risk mgt techniques
- Risk measurement and reporting
- Risk testing
We envision a breadth of professionals with varied functional backgrounds and retail experiences participating in this effort. We welcome all enthusiastic contributors to join one or more of the topical working groups to help develop this first of its kind retail risk standard for the industry.
